From July 27 to August 2, 2026, the “I'm Learning TCM in Sichuan” Hong Kong and Macao TCM Teachers and Students Cultural Exchange Program, hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and co-organized by our hospital, was held in Chengdu. Through theory and practice, the program promoted Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques with Sichuan characteristics and enhanced the Hong Kong and Macao teachers’ and students’ cultural recognition of TCM.

As a core study site, our hospital arranged two days of in-depth study. Our expert team lectured on “Basic Theory of Pestle Needle Therapy” and “Improving TCM Clinical Thinking Ability,” helping participants expand their thinking on syndrome differentiation and treatment, and conducted practical teaching on “Clinical Application of Pestle Needle Therapy.” Participants observed and experienced pestle needle techniques, with lively interaction. During the program, participants also paid brief visits to the Wuhou Campus and Tianfu Campus of Sichuan Provincial Orthopedic Hospital.

The program emphasized excursion experiences. Participants visited Pengzhou to tour Tianfu Traditional Chinese Medicine City, Tianfu Aromatherapy Hall, Tianfu Herbal Medicine Market, and Longxing Twenty-Four Workshops, and also visited the Museum of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through “eating, traveling, and studying together,” the program deepened emotional ties and showcased the characteristics of Sichuan TCM. Our hospital will continue to leverage its strengths in clinical teaching and specialized disciplines to promote TCM exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Macao and the mainland.
