On October 21, 2024, at the invitation of Professor Bruno Vellas, academician of Académie Nationale de Médecine de France, Vice President of our hospital Wu Wenbin led a delegation to the Geriatrics Center of the University of Toulouse to carry out academic exchanges. The Geriatrics Center of the University of Toulouse has been a collaborating centre of WHO since 2017.

Professor Bruno Vellas and his team introduced cutting-edge concepts of geriatrics such as “Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE)” and “Intrinsic capacity (IC).” Wu Wenbin and some other members of the delegation introduced the recent development of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and our hospital.

Wu Wenbin presented a gift of Sichuan brocad embroidered with portraits of famous doctors of Chinese Medicine in history and a gift of Sichuan brocad embroidered with panda to the French side.

Wu Wenbin and the delegation visited the Geriatrics Center, and the two sides exchanged ideas on hospital design, functional zoning, integration of medical and nursing care, and special wards.
